• Social Welfare Department scholarships
  The J&K Directorate of Social Welfare implements several scholarship schemes for marginalized communities. 

  

  
  
  • Pre-Matric Scholarships: Financial assistance is provided for students from classes 1 to 10 belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and physically challenged categories. Eligibility is subject to minimum marks and parent income criteria.
  • Post-Matric Scholarships: Supports students from SC, OBC, and physically challenged categories in post-matriculation courses both inside and outside J&K. The schemes provide for non-refundable fees and a maintenance allowance.
  • Scholarship for Pahari Speaking People: The J&K Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking People has previously offered post-matric scholarships for students of this category. Benefits typically include tuition fees and a maintenance allowance.
